The DiSTI Corporation, the world’s leading provider of 3D virtual training solutions, and Agueris, the European leader in training and simulation and member of the CMI Group, are proud to announce their strategic partnership to jointly develop 3D Virtual Maintenance Training Solutions for the European market.

These solutions will be based on DiSTI’s virtual training solution, VE Studio. VE Studio uses a unique database-driven approach that optimizes developing and managing content, training procedures, and content delivery to multiple types of interfaces to provide customers with immersive training experiences at the highest level of quality and flexibility.

The relationship is part of the DiSTI strategic partnership program implemented to develop new industry solutions and supply the demand for improving workforce training. Over the past 15 years, DiSTI has been a leader in developing virtual training solutions for the military and aviation market and is expanding into other industries that desire 3D training to improve workforce development. VE Studio incorporates DiSTI’s patented development process into a technology platform that greatly improves the delivery process for virtual training. DiSTI is now extending its global reach through a select number of strategic partnerships.

For Agueris, this partnership aligns with their ambition to expand their direct activity and develop innovative maintenance training solutions for the market, including companies within the CMI Group, in order to increase productivity, improve safety, and create new services for the customers.

The DiSTI Corporation, a leading provider of graphical user interface development software to the automotive, aerospace, and medical industries announces the use of its GL Studio software for the development of the Jaguar Land Rover’s new 2016 Jaguar XJ InControl© Touch Pro™ infotainment system. Embedded into the 2016 Jaguar XJ’s touch screen infotainment system, GL Studio serves as the user interface layer for the unit.

Jaguar Land Rover used GL Studio for the creation of the infotainment and rear-seat entertainment system interfaces. These interfaces were entirely conceived in-house at Jaguar Land Rover. The XJ’s touch screen display allows users to manage functions such as climate control, audio, communications, navigation and allows users to customize their home screen wallpaper and create personalized widgets. Designed to minimize driver distraction and maximize the user experience, the simple and intuitive InControl^© Touch Pro^™ featuring GL Studio enables the touch screen display to respond to common ‘pinch to zoom’ and ‘swipe’ gestures to provide ease of use for drivers. The highly responsive interface comes from GL Studio’s native object code generation and the fastest runtime software in the industry, in addition to the units Quad-Core Intel Processor and the 60GB SSD. The full-screen navigation display improves the line of site to allow drivers to focus more on the road.

The DiSTI Corporation, a leading provider of graphical user interface development software to the automotive, aerospace, and medical industries, announces today that the GL Studio runtime engine has received ISO 26262 certification. Producing certified user interfaces for dashboard instrument clusters and heads-up displays is critical for the automotive industry as national transportation safety commissions consider mandatory adoption of functional safety standards such as ISO 26262. Formerly released in November 2011, the ISO 26262 standard establishes the state-of-the-art for the automotive industry and assures the functional safety of a system with electrical/electronic components in production passenger vehicles.

The need for safety critical becomes more prevalent in the embedded system software as graphics-based instrument clusters continue to replace traditional analog-based gauge clusters. The GL Studio Safety Critical runtime engine is the only solution on the market that delivers the entire embedded user interface runtime library source that is certified (TÜV NORD Certificate Registration No. 44 207 13082113) up to Automotive Safety Integrity Level D; the highest classification of safety criticality defined by the ISO 26262 standard. This allows the OEM’s and Tier 1’s to use GL Studio to completely certify their entire display framework.
